Acacia Baileyana Purpurea or Cootamundra Wattle is a fast growing, evergreen small tree with an eventual height of 5 metres, or large shrub with deep purple, young fern-like foliage on purple red stems contrasting with the blue-green older leaves. Racemes of bright yellow mimosa- like flowers are freely produced during March, highly attractive to bees and other insects.
This plant can be grown in a container in Northern areas and brought into the greenhouse or conservatory during frost periods.
The plant we supply is a year old, about 8 to 12 inches on a 5 inch pot.
