Pinus radiata, also known as Monterey Pine, is a fast-growing softwood tree that is native to the Central Coast of California and Mexico. It is suitable for a range of uses, and its unique silviculture techniques have made it a model for growers of other plantation species. It is considered one of the most widely planted pines in the world, prized for its desirable lumber and pulp qualities. This adaptable tree is known for its bright green needles and quickly growing height, making it an excellent choice for shelterbelt planting. In addition, it is extensively cultivated in many parts of the world, notably Australia, New Zealand, Chile and South Africa. Despite being closely related to other Californian pines, this versatile tree is widely recognized as a distinct species and is appreciated around the world for its many positive attributes.
We have a small number of saplings about 12 to 15 inches tall in a 5 inch pot.
